Charles Edward Lee Jr., age 72 of Harriman, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at home. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Riggs Chapel Baptist Church.

Charles retired in 1994 from Bell South following 35 years of service as Supervisor. He was a Mason as well as an Eagle Scout; a 1959 graduate of Harriman High School where he was a star guard and linebacker before receiving a football scholarship to East Tennessee State University.

Preceded in death by parents, Charles and Merle Lee

Survived by loving wife of 52 years Sylvia Lee; daughters, Angela Manis (Donald) of Sunbright; Monta Lee of Harriman; Dixie Lee of Boone, NC; one son, Nick Lee of Harriman; two sisters, Opal Lee and Kathryn "Kitty" Sharp both of Knoxville; two brothers, Albert Lee of Chattanooga and Wade Lee. Additionally he is survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Memorial service 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 12, 2013 in the chapel of Kyker Funeral Home, Harriman with Rev. Mason Goodman and Rev. Jimmy Banken officiating.
